Has anyone solved the problem with this type of baler where the guide flaps on the net intake flick onto the wrong side of the roller when baling rough ground?

Is that the narrow rubber straps? Ave never had that problem with mine but windy days give me bother with the net tail getting blown about

Never had that problem with ours
Have they some how been left bent forwards all winter after cleaning it or something so they want to spring back forwards
Other wise rake it and slow down:D

Land was all raked with a twin rotor, but is land we have just taken on and in rough condition. The problem with these Balers is they like a big swath or good forward speed and without that they can start to break up the forage when it's hot and dry as it was yesterday.

Not sure what's making it happen other than the constant jolting on rough ground. I tried forward speeds from 5 to 15 kph but nothing solved it. I don't recall it being an issue when the baler was newer. It has done 26000 now. We have blown it off and taken it in the workshop to have a good look at it now.

It is normally a problem in brittle material as it gets pushed up between the roller and the rubber flaps. You can try to bend them back with limited success. I'm afraid the cure is to keep cleaning that area out in dry conditions.
A few years ago baling oat straw in blistering heat the only way I could cure net problems was to manually tie the net. Therefore when the buzzer went I would wait for a few seconds for the smashed material to clear from where the net feeds in to the chamber then press the button and manually wrap it. When the heat dropped in the evening I could go back to auto.

Checking round the baler in the workshop, we think that the problem might be due to the belt that drives the lower roller slipping. So we have ordered a new pair of belts to see whether that sorts the problem before we replace the rubber strips.
