It has already been brought up on Twitter and they say it is an error in production of the sign! They stress that the lamb is British and not from New Zealand! Not sure what they will do about it though!

Have found the promotion on their website now. The NZ lamb bit seems to have been deleted from @RWG Contracts's leaflet.......

Still seems a very small lamb @ 12.5kg dead.

And the reply from Makro:

Many thanks for your email.

There was a printing error on the original leaflet. Please be assured that the lamb is British, Farm Assured Red Tractor and fully traceable. All the lambs are supplied by Randall Parker and sourced directly from English, Welsh and Scottish farms.

As soon as we realised our mistake, we corrected the leaflet and posted this on-line. Please accept our sincere apologies for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused.

Best wishes

Seem to recall Welsh Mountain lamb carcases were small back in the late 70's early 80's when I was in that part of the UK.Nothing wrong with it though, far from it,was the best of lamb.Seen plenty of small but fit Blackies too in the marts.Got to go somewhere.
