Well slap me with a kipper & call me Maureen.

Since when has a well regarded (prolific if nothing else) upstanding member been told to wait before "performing that act"

Has TFF become my wife?

I refer, of course, to making a post and then trying to make another post within 15 sec on the same thread.

Occasionally (Actually quite regularly) other members quote one of my posts to which it’s politic to either reply or tell them to do one (never the latter as I am a gentleman). Now, I am allowed to reply to one but have to wait at least 15 secs before I can reply to any others.
I get a message saying: “Hi. You cannot perform that act for x seconds”

Not a biggy tbh

That can happen if the other member is editing their post whilst you are trying to reply.

Its to stop spammers posting a reply to a thread and then just copy and pasting it and posting it hundreds of times very quickly. We have to have these measures in place to stop this sort of thing happening. Its very rare that a normal user posts on the same thread within 15 seconds of a previous post.
