them pedestrian pallet 'lifters' are pretty usefull i they will slip under partly, or high lift jack(farm jack) and a bit of wood will raise it a bit ,theres ways and means.

And we all get to see the delights of the arse end of Wellington, fantastic
is the monument finished yet? or is the scaffold still up...

always the first sign of getting towards home when we see that from the M5 (y) well at least its far enough away from Bristol...(y)

Cautionary note. Bloke came here last week with a hired Luton van to collect a Hardi sprayer, tail lift would not lift it, and sprayer was not half a ton.

Yep, tail lifts on 3500 kg lutons very rarely rated at 500kgs - If your Luton bodied transport is a 7.5 tonner it could be OK,
I should have said, it is on casters, we only (only !) have to lift it a tad onto the tail lift.
Most tail lifts decks are tapered but do be careful and secure the castors when lifting is in progress - If you are able to park the van with the nose slightly downhill then the risk of falling off the end is much reduced.

Just spoke to hire firm, it's a Transit 350 L4 Luton, they tell me the tail lift will lift 500kg. Just did a search and found one for sale that says the same.
Would you trust that or would you say that its rated weight wont match its actual lift ?

I know someone couple mile up the road from there with a telehandler if you want me to ask if they would lift it on for you?

If you could ask that would be fab. My first thought on this was forklift but they don't have one at that end. Would hope we can manage with the tail lift but to know there is a telehandler as backup would be peace of mind.

You know that 'dead horse' thread........... :ROFLMAO: .
