I know it might sound not farming related? but has a wider issue in the countryside generally? Well are they, if not why? because we have found like many its what blocks up our public toilets? lay on the bottom of rivers dont break down, plastic usage has to be looked at from start to finish, the amount of plastic made waste on farms is everywhere, you know there was a time before plastic when plastic made products were made of, containers were made of tin or glass, bags, made of paper, hession, jute? string, thread made of cotton, sisal etc etc etc?

When you see vids of lorry loads dumped in rivers in India and Pakistan it makes our problems look insignificant

Hope so, I hate the bloody things. I think there are plans to put micro filters on washing machines which will help with some of the plastics

What is REALLY pissing me off at the moment is all the covid surgical masks that are being dropped all over the place. We keep finding them in the hedgerows, and I'm terrified that sooner of later one of the horses is going to eat one. Who the F*(K wears a mask to go for a walk across a field anyway.???

While I'm on a rant....Ive a good mind to go along the verges and pick up all of the McDonalds litter in to a big sack and empty it out inside the local branch. It must belong to them...it's got their bloody name on it!

...And breathe....

I've done that with McDonald's before, after suggesting that the manager could use the anpr combined with the purchasers receipt (left in bag) to easily identify and bar the litterer. He wouldn't, so I gave him his litter back.

Apparently they have looked into the feasibility of printing number plates on packaging and found it unviable 🙄 personally I think it’s a great idea.

The receipt was in the bag.
The time was printed on the receipt.
They have cameras on the drive through.
Two minute job to identify and ban that car or card from all UK McDonald's.

But why would they reduce their income when nuggets like me will go and pick up the litter to keep my bit of countryside tidy?

Now bio-degradable ones are available they should ban non degradable. Couldn’t of lived without them when kiddies were in nappies! They are more expensive, but we now buy them.
