What’s better Trafford gold or brewers grains

I’m looking for something to feed to the milking cows to get a bit more milk out of them but I don’t know what’s best. We usually feed wholecrop with our grass silage but we can’t open the whole crop clamp as it has 2nd and 3rd cut in it too. We aren’t using enough silage yet to open it

Grains a good feed but too expensive. Used to think needed to be less than price of milk. So milk 30ppl then grains less than £30 tonne. Digester s have pushed up the price of these products

Grain maize, or get a nutritionist to look at your diet to make sure it’s balanced with some extra compound.

Grains, grass silage and wholecrop here. Bought them at £23/ton back in April, layered in the pit. Cows milk great and put plenty of weight on too after a tough backend
