Formalyn most days 2% then once a week yougstock then cows go thru formalyn then a copper and hydrated lime mix that sticks like glue

Is the line and copper diluted in water or a dry mix or how do you mix it?

Copper and hydrated lime mix add water but you want it on the thicker side if it goes tomuch like water add more lime it will thicken it up

How are folks adding the copper sulphate just throwing it in the foot baths are getting it to dissolve in a bucket then adding to foot bath?
Thinking the same thing, could you mix it in a bucket so the footbath pump can add it in?
If I ever add this, I dissolve it fully then the footbath pump can add it, as its a liquid but always make sure to flush it out after as sediment could poss build up in the pump.

We use hot water but still takes ages to dissolve
No don't use the powder version of it you will be there for ages trying to dissolve it... Use the battles version they make a liquid version of it
We use this liquid version... Hope this may help.... It works for us

Yes but mainly in winter or when the cows are in cubicle house.... When they are out I stick with the one above I have put a pic of it up for you

We seem to have a bit of digi in our cows (mainly in a batch we bought) that we could do with clearing up a bit before winter, what % copper and formalin are you using and do you use them separately in the foot bath or mixed together

Foot baths do not cure digital dermatitis, they only prevent it. Lift and treat them. That’s my experience but I have an undersized bath. 80 gallon for 550 cows.

We have ditched the auto bath and now all cows go through a formalin 2/3% bath on 4 consecutive days every week, incidents of Digi are virtually non existent now

We are lifting the bad ones and treating but need to change how we are foot bathing to prevent it

It is linked to two robots but the 3rd robot doesn't exit through it, my logic was that all the cows would at some point travel through it during the day. We also found it became quite heavily soiled.
That said the footbath works v well and we are going to install in our next shed on a single robot.
