What’s New in TFF Version 2

I think the sizing issues some users were experiencing were related to caching. I had a bit of that going on with Edge on my Android tablet, whereby it was picking up elements of the new design and trying to integrate them with cached bits of the old design. My phone seemed to have trouble making up its mind whether to use the desktop or mobile device layouts too, which again I cured by clearing the cache.

Cache is a issue for users and its why some were still seeing the site maintenance page for some time and as you say maybe causing display size (especially zoomed) versions - only time really sorts that out unless people know how to force a clear of their cache

We have made a minor change this morning but its not really gone quite to plan and only about 25% of what we changed has been applied, working on why that is at the moment

Page operations are different.
For example the new posts page ,new post is page 1, older pages higher numbers.
But On going threads page 1 is oldest or first post then higher pages are the newer Current one's ?

Not quite sure what you are trying to say here, but when you press the new threads button you will get the most recent 20 threads on the first page in chronological order. Nothing has changed here. You do need to press the button again, not refresh the screen. Again that is the same as in V1 of TFF.

not actuality changed anything in that regard

there are some changes based on feedback to date coming but we are having issues applying them all just now - only some have worked
I can absolutely promise you the size of the sidebar hasn't changed since go live. We have adjusted the borders and spacing so it looks a lot more like the old system on the smaller devices. The size of the text box has definitely increased though. It still isn't quite as we want it. But its improving and there have been lots of good suggestions and tips we are taking on board.

There will be more changes to come. TFF took size years to get to where it was on version 1. We are only 5 days into version 2.
Ok ok l believe you as both your IT skills are light years ahead of mine for sure.
Furthermore its working perfectly fine for me eversince it returned so thats all that matters at the end of the day.
Thanks for all the effort to the backroom men/women.

You sure - some people have spotted bits.

The background colours in quote boxes and in the reply textbox seem to have changed, and I'm pretty certain there is less "dead space" now with the various UI elements appearing more tightly packed. Probably others too, but I was away for the weekend and not logging on so wouldn't have noticed them being rolled out.
