It would be the plated "kerb weight" (empty but ready to drive with fuel oil etc ) so assuming the rear bed cover truckman top or ivor williams canopy was a dealer fit accessory that most would be and not a manufactured part of the vehicle supplied by the manufacture like say a roller shutter rear cover on a ranger wild track that is specified in the brocucher and so included in the weight , it would eating in to your payload not the effecting the kerb weight that is the 2040kg figure.

Correct
That's it...............it's the standard spec for that model, in the brochure and at type approval

Aftermarket or dealer fit accessories aren't on the V5c 'Mass in Service' weight as declared at type approval for each particular vehicle, so they aren't taken any notice of.

Plated weight + the weight of your fixed chicken shed on the back = often over the weight limit.
How would a speed camera Van operator know the weight of your chicken shed canopy, on the back?

He hasn't got weigh cells on the road, yet

He only has DVLA V5c Mass in Service plated manufacturer's weight to go on, when he types in the registration number into the DVLA system, you could have a canopy loosely resting on the back, loose load of fodder beet or 40 bags of creep lamb feed in the back................he's not bothered what's on the back

exactly the above, whatever is on the V5 is the issue. When I got done there would be no idea what my load was and never been done by fixed cam as they mustn’t register the tax class where the man in the van i assume goes against what’s coming up on his dvla computer at the time for the reg as you go past.
