What 150hp+ appreciating classic

Looking for an extra tractor, main job to drive a lagoon mixer, needs 150hp and won't do many hours in a year. Age and road capabilities not important. Main criteria is that it won't depreciate and may in fact gain value over time, perhaps after a little restoration work, what would you go for??

Ideally something that hasn't already sky rocketed in value.

Ps, asking for a friend

The baby of the range JD 4055's are still quite cheap compared to the range topping 4755's but are mechanically and looks-wise very similar. 140 real hp from 7.6L will easily shame 150 modern hp. Look and sound great, well built, reliable, will still put in a good days work on a primary cultivator. So long as you're not going on the road much what's not to like?

Need to be looking at the slightly newer stuff that is still depreciating or has reached the bottom, 20 or 30 series Deere maybe?

Even 20 series are holding strong, even rough ones with 10,000 hours seem to be mid 20’s. Good ones with low hours are anything north of 30. Plenty of money totally when they didn’t have the best reputation.

MF 2725 or Renault TX145. If you want tractors that go up in value then two very good machines. Also simple mechanical tractors relatively speaking with plenty of 'knowledge' and parts available.
May seem daft but good looking machines become very sought after even though they may not have been the best at what they did. I would say Ford TW35 but the ship has sailed on that one and prices are already rocketing.
