What about the gender for Farmers forum

Has there been a forum for Farmers who are transgender or Gay on this site?. I have seen a few programs on the TV recently where farmers have been gay and running very successful farms and alternative industries within the farming community. They seem very good at what they do,and some have B&Bs that are very good.
If there are any who follow this site, it would be good to get their view of today's modern farming methods, and the social side of farming ie , do they feel as if they fit in .

I would imagine, given that it is such a conservative, male dominated, right wing demographic, that it would be very hard to "fit in"
many female farmers seem to have enough trouble being accepted as a "farmer" in their own right or as an individual.
hopefully, things are changing & society is becoming more open & tolerant, but I still think it would be a hard row to hoe . . .

I can't fathom why it really matters to be honest. A farmer is a farmer, doesn't matter what they do outside of farming, they could represent all manner of minorities but fundamentally they are still farmers.
This post was aimed at those who are or feel of a different gender and are farmers or in the farming community working as an alternative provider. So your reply is a bit confusing, I await a reply from those I wanted a reply from, of course I am expecting the ODD reply.

Thanks for that constructive reply. I would personally think that what you say is true, and I have seen comments on this forum that justify that. From what I have seen in relation to these farmers is that they run as good a farm or related company as any other farmer.

No offence intended, but you come across as though you are desperate to find an argument to get involved in. I don't think anyone gives two hoots whether a farmer is gay, or transgender, or anything else for that matter. How would any of us know, unless that person made it obvious?

I don't give a flying feck what someone is, if they are a farmer I'll chat farming shite with them. As a decent human being I don't give a damn what minority they belong to, and so long as they have something interesting to say I'll listen to them.

I'll bet most people are the same, regardless of the perception that may be given from a forum.

Eh?

Now I'm confused. Those who feel of a different gender? So, not gay people then?

The irony being that the gay community is male dominated, and increasingly (small c) conservative and right wing.........said he sat listening to Soft Cell with the next track cued up being the Communards.........

Well, it may well be different in Oz, but over here there are plenty of gay farmers who are well kmown in their communities, and nobody thinks twice about it. Its simply not an issue. As @Beowulf said, a farmer is a farmer regardless of any kind of lifestyle issue, and thats that. End of.

The easiest way to fit in is to not try to fit in.
