The inline code feature is often used on technical forums discussing computer code to distinguish the code segments from the rest of the text. Computer code usually appears in a typewriter style font while it's being written in an editor and it's common to want to show it that way when asking for help or demonstrating something. I'd bet it's just a standard feature of whatever forum software TFF runs on. For example: Suppose I'm writing a C function to find the product of two numbers and I'm having a problem with it. I can post the main function using the More Options -> Code button.
int find_product(int a, int b) { product = a ** b; return product; }
Then I can refer to a specific part using the More Options -> Inline Code button. For example: Why does the line [ICODE]product = a**b[/ICODE] not give me the result I want?
