They are 19” Dunlop wheels, also know as artillery wheels. They were fitted to many pre war British cars and also found there way on to horse drawn carts. You would see lots of old farm drays with artillery wheels.
Old hand crank dumper that was belt drive had three stud wheels that looked like that. The wheels swapped onto the old pig trailer so must have been quite common at some point
Hi, I'm completely new here and wondering if anyone out there can help with information/suggestions/advice about these wheels? I have three split rims (One with a ring that it is beyond use) and one safety rim. 6.5x16 tyres, 5 stud I am trying to source any suitable replacements. ANy help...
I think i have some of those wheels on my wartime Wolseley elevator, the sort that had the 1 1/2hp water cooled engine. This photo is from Pugh's, but mine has the 3 stud Artillery wheels.
