What are we scared of?

Can’t understand why Joe Biden keeps explicitly ruling out any sort of intervention, as this gives Putin a green light to carry on regardless. Even a threat of a strike might make Putin think twice before completely destroying the country.
The elderly are often overly belligerent or overly timid; yet the US has now poured more arms into Ukraine than even the UK, no surprise considering its size and military transport fleet, but the fact remains.

Regardless of President Biden's age... he is being advised and counselled by people who will be both more hawkish and even less provocative than him. It really is an awful position to be in for any 'leader'; I have no doubt that were there no nuclear threat from Russia, NATO would have declared a no-fly zone.

But there is a nuclear threat; I don't know what the President means when he tells us that there will be a significant reaction to Russian use of NBC weapons, but it doesn't feel greatly threatening to Russia. Perhaps there are plans to offer planes after all, perhaps a significant increase in number of weapons supplied - how? - or perhaps a shift to providing offensive as well as defensive weapons. Let's hope we don't get to find out.

Biden is the worst president the US has ever had. And that's saying something. Biden needs to be unpredictable too. Defcon 5 this afternoon, dropping to 3 tomorrow, back to 4 etc, etc. Spending far too much time telling us what he's not doing.
Go get him !!!! No, Joe, he's in Russia, not Iran.....:X3:

Oh no, I'm turning into a 2* General like everyone else on the forum. :X3:
I think we all have a great deal of sympathy for the Ukrainian people , and all wish and hope something can be done to help, we are all helpless and venting our frustrations on here is all we can do. None of us can really understand the true horror of what they are going through.
Lets hope good triumphs over evil and justice will prevail.

Of course, the real enemy being our own governments and the 'establishment' who are ensuring that our fuel prices go through the roof and we all become dependent on the state. You will own nothing and you will be happy. They are not even hiding it any more.

Are Russians immune to radioactivity? Does it only make others ill?
Can't give in, havs to stand up to them

Well yes Russians are pretty much immune to "Radioactivity" - who is going to drop a Nuke on them ? You ?

If you seriously think the USA is going to drop Nukes on Russia because Russia Nukes Ukraine, Poland, Finland or even England.

Think again.

That's probably why Putin is threatening to do it.

The USA will defend every inch of NATO countries. We know this because the president said so.
Ukraine, Finland...🤔

Defend with what ? Killing everyone in the USA and coincidently everyone else on the planet ?

350+ million USA people are going to die to defend a few million people in Europe ?

The USA has never been bombed. They won't do anything.

If nato wanted to defend ukraine it needed to be in before russia attacked not after. Then russia would have known what it was getting into. A lot of people are getting in a panic about putins tanks rolling all over Europe. He cant even take towns 20mins from the Russian border. Europe is going to re arm, and will be ready, and modern air power will turn his army into Swiss cheese before it gets 10 miles. If he wants to nuke us after that then that's up to him, ours will be coming back.

@hoff135 in the short term - if Putin doesn't use tactical Nukes - Europe has a problem with Energy, Fertiliser, Food, Steel, Minerals, Gas & Oil.

Those problems are going to exist for at least 5 to 10 years. IF European governments actually do something about them rather than finding another dictator to buy them from - in which case the can will be kicked down the road again.

I agree, the west is hoping this will finish putin. We can only hope, and hope to build a new relationship with a new russia if one comes about.

Ok, I had 10 minutes spare so thought « why not? »
What was the point in the link @Pasty ?
A rather unpleasant character who certainly swears too much who seems too have some anger issues. 🤷‍♂️ But says nothing at all other than insulting the majority of people for no reason.
I’ve long said, the internet will be the downfall of the human race, it’s guys like this that confirm my suspicion

He says what a lot of people are thinking. Swearing doesn't bother me. He does have his issues but he also makes some valid points and I would rather watch people with real opinions than our watered down media and their 2% milk.
