I'm about 80 today I would say. Wouldn't often run higher!

Tractor in for what could eventually be a 5 figure repair bill. If they can even get parts due to covid/Brexit. Manufacturer might help. (Don't want to go into details on this thread)

New sprayer delivery knocked back another 2 weeks due to Brexit/covid. Lawnmower won't go had it running last week in shed when it was wet. Went to cut grass yesterday when it was dry and no spark again!

On a positive note its finally warmed up! Not raining so will get winter barley sprayed this afternoon. Its full of disease which is negative.

Nobody's died.

25 percent. About average for the moment. Just lacking some perk.
Snap, should be full of the joys, plenty of rain and warmed up but cant really get enthused about the job, seems to be a constant attack on our way of life. Rules for the sake of new rules, very little support for the industry currently and the sham that is RT just compounds it even more along with the rest of the leaches in life.

50%. Some sort of ear/throat infection going on and feel tired. Trying to sort the sheds and machinery out in the run up to harvest. Junk, scrap and clutter everywhere. Can’t move. But can’t think of anything that I can do without other than “all of it”.
Anyway as Mark Twain said “the secret to getting ahead is getting started.”
Filled the mower with petrol yesterday morning, mouse had been at the pipe. That and a few other problems with it and I finally started on the lawns at 7 pm. Finished by 9.
Need to split my Renault and start on the transmission problem soon. Don’t even know where the problem is. Rim to weld as well. It’s hanging over me and making me grumpy. Would one year without a major breakdown be too much to ask? Up to date on field work. New sprayer needs some welding and a few new roof sheets needed on TVs grain store. Onwards and upwards. Could be worse. Could be better.

Nah, I'm fine with the rules. I'm just a bit stuck what to do. The farm is not exactly taking many hours. In September both children will be at secondary school and I'll get a little job to keep me busy. As often, it's easier to do nothing than pick a project. If Mrs teslacoils would tell me to do that one or this one, I'd get on with it. Just, nothing is really pulling me in any direction. Need a good kick up the arse tbh.

Around 75% at the moment, up 25% since the turn of the month.
The grass is finally growing and it’s looking less likely to be a repeat of last year. We’ve this morning moved the cows and calves and they’ve now got some grass to eat. They were right in front of the house and I hated looking out at them with little to eat.
I’ve got a nee machine coming this week which is always exciting.
Cash is still going out as quickly as it comes in which is playing on my mind, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I can't see this being a positive thread! It invites retreading the same situation each day which could be negative

I've loads of exciting stuff going on next week. Crops look good. Prices good. I'm fairly optimistic about the farm. Just can't really thing of much to do, or rather can't just get on with something - I keep thinking about the ££££ rather than the bigger picture.
