Looking at Diversifying my small contracting business, got me thinking what can a tractor be used For apart from agriculture.
Construction sites
Harvesting Christmas trees
Snowploughing
What else?
Be very careful on haulage as Vosa had a blitz a few weeks back and on any none agricultural use they will impound the gear and happily Chuck the book at anyone caught via court.log splitting....horse muck heap removal.....hedge cutting...tractor runs......haulage ....verge mowing...traffic calming....willie waving...the list goes on
So diggers, forklifts, cement mixers, dumpers etc should all be on white diesel? Or do you just mean for tractors?I believe red diesel for agricultural, horticultural or forestry duties, and snowplowing only.
A tractors a tractor. An agricultural tractor can be used for well, agriculture.
Anything else and it's a commercial vehicle-white diesel, tachograph, expensive RFL and loads more hassle.
So diggers, forklifts, cement mixers, dumpers etc should all be on white diesel? Or do you just mean for tractors?
I’m in Ireland, can use same diesel on construction sites. You really want to burn white diesel? Better to stick to activities related to agriculture so you can stay on red.
If everyone knew the answer to that
TBH most eventualities are already well covered off season. I’d advise parking it up and driving something else on a site over winter.
It probably means swapping Mr Fendt for Mr Thwaites though.
Well, put your location on your profile.I’m in Ireland, can use same diesel on construction sites.
Lots of threads on that if ttf's remembers, red, white diesel, stopping at Big M's for grub, coppers vosa ,customs and revenue etc etc lists endless.drivn 2 the pub
