What can and cannot run on red diesel from March 1. 2021

I read somewhere probably here that excavators will run on derv from next year to be legal but is it true that all contracting will have to use derv including silaging equipment?

Might be some mileage in twin tank systems - do commonrails have a leak off back to the fuel tank or would that still be a contamination problem.
Seem to remember Ready - mix Concrete had two tanks. ( Mostly had two engines as well 🤷🏻‍♂️🥴)

yes they do have a return to tank as well.

Common rail returns more to tank than a rotary pump.

Twin tanks for red and white are illegal anyway, it's written in law.

On the trucks, what do they run the fridge units on these days, I bought an ex-Harris Bacon ERF it had a little tank mounted on the chassis filled with red powering a single cylinder Petter engine.

The other ERF had a night heater plumbed in to the main tank.

One problem I see is that less red diesel will be needed so the volume will be less and the cost of the producers May rise

would be more efficient for the fuel industry cost wise to have no red and a rebate paid to those registerEd as agricultural ect
for delivery of red the fuel companies now have to check that the red is being used by bonefide businesses in the ag industry ect
