Is that the technical name? :D
dildo saw?--heavy duty vibrator?

We have all kinds of 'alternative' names for stuff round here!

little hammer, bosher or Thor is a sledge with a handle a foot long.

snodger..... is something that moves or is adjustable, maybe a long bar that has potential to do irreversible damage to something you would prefer to look straight.

pliers of doom......... the two foot knipex cobra pliers

wanger.... Something that sticks out after bodging something, possibly with a welder (sparkler) thats needs toshing with the little hammer to make it look a little smarter.

bollock..... anything that is nearly round.

chuggaboom..... any machine that doesn't have a brain, smokes a lot, doesn't always start but is quite fun to drive.... usually involves boiling the battery with a charge and start

oh, and fanny juice. Anything that is applied to all sorts of stuff to loosen it. Could be wd40, diesel, oil mix...... the wurth aerosol is called fly spray because that's what it smells like.

As for an impact gun, Milwaukee here, its what i started off with.
researched the life out of them and to be fair, the dewalt and the Milwaukee in 1/2 " were neck and neck spec wise the time i bought, Had a bad experience with DeWalt long time ago and would rather no go back and its purported that Milwaukee make the best battery of all.
bearing in mind that's the top spec 1/2" guns im on about, there are many flavours in the same colour so do your research.

the only thing i don't like about the Milwaukee impact gun i have now is the Bluetooth, it drains the battery 24/7.
a rubbish gimmick imo that some day will pee me off so much ill pull her apart and nip it out, apart from that an excellent gun.

Being the cheapest of cheapskates.I bought this on the recommendation of Youtuber AVE. Its a makita look alike that uses makita batterys. 1/2 inch and brushless. Amazing. £22 inc postage. Works a treat on plough points etc.

I took your advice about the Bluetooth and bought the basic one with the same power. Used it today after two months sitting and the batteries are still full

Milwaukee every time.
3/4 knocks socks off same size air tool.
Yeah i must admit up untill i bought my Milwaukee stubby i was an air tool man and it wasn't untill i was working on the landy i got hooked on battery stuff as my soposedly 980lb air wrench wouldn't touch what i was doing niether did the stubby in the end i did it by hand and think it was probably just tighter than what the stubby could take probably 300lbs where as the stubby is 250lbs but think a mid torque would have done it easy and a hi torque would deffo do it but are quite pricy at the mo so a mid torque will be my next purchase ?

My son bought a little Milwaulkee 3/8 for the quadbike job and the torque is unbelievable for such a small bit of kit. Dread to think what the 3/4 is like.

the battery is removable you know. Won’t drain the battery when it’s sitting beside it.?

Got a 1/2” and a 3/4” Milwaukee then the 1” drive came out and it’s an animal. So much so the 3/4 never gets used now, the best purchase of the year!

1/2 makita here but already had the batteries + chargers. local hardware spot in the village used to be a stockist so practically every trade used to have makita but the spot has been going down hill for a while and don't stock power tools now.

for sure, but that's just hassle I personally don't need tbh.
id consider it a bad flaw on the manufacturers behalf, as said, its a gimmick.

The other thing they need to do is move that damn button for switching through the 1-4 cycles, its far too handy to hit it unknowingly between settings when wearing gloves and all of a sudden its in go slow mode.

in their never ending race to be on top of the pile they seem to forget about user friendliness and tbh stuff like that just pisses me off.
