What did you build over Christmas 2020

This thread needs a warning on it. Just about managing to control my Milwaukee and Lego addiction. Now I must have one of these Tamiya truck models.

Luckily they don't do a Scania 143 otherwise I would be in trouble :ROFLMAO:
You mean like this one

How much was it? Looks a cracking build so far
£320. not something I’ll be buying a lot of.

thought be nice hobby as our boys grow up. Can change and modify them. Eldest is 6 and very interested, come up with some interesting
colour schemes and he’s made a Lego trailer t go behind it already. Scales a bit out tho 🤣

From what I’ve built so far, it’s made like a tank. Double drive, proper diffs, working suspension and a 3spd gearbox (which I put together wrong 4 times 🙄).

thought I’d struggle more than I have, but instructions are very good.

really recommend one to anyone with a Tamiya truck itch t scratch.

Tonight’s progress:

Looking good 👍, I always use to love a tamiya build when I had rc cars. Have the bug for Heli’s these days but they get mega expensive, especially if you crash one🤦‍♂️😂

Thank you 👍

I think the rc off-road cars will be good fun and a bit simpler to do with young interested kids. Might do the Tamiya lunchbox next.

Wife got me a wee rc plane, made out of polystyrene. It was good fun, but didn’t like the wind, plus controls froze if went out of range, meaning throttle stayed open. Took off 1/4 mile across ridged tattie field with a 6yr old in hot pursuit one day 😆.
