Diahatsu Fourtrak. Saw one on a dealer's forecourt in the 80's ? they had just come into the UK and although the dealer was closing up for the night I got a test drive. Found a bit of rough ground that BMX bikers used and enjoyed myself. Could have just afforded it at the time.

Happily, Herself here has dusted off her haircutting skills during/post- covid, and while not Vidal Sassoon, her cutting is more than adequate to tidy me up... ;)
I bought one of those £12 trimmer sets from Lidls and started doing my own during lockdown. No one has said anything about it and if it looked too awful I would soon get the p--- taken, so I reckon it is a win.

mine had got so long that I was considering either getting a black ribbon for it or buying a violin . In the end I got a good barber's trim for £7.00 - that was with pensioner's discount . I thought even that was dear ! Sister used to do it , then she went up country , missus next , she died 4 years back , grand-daughter last . I'll have to make overtures again very shortly

I tried saving up for a Toyota Hi Lux back in the 90s. I seem to recall half decent ones were going for 4k. I never did manage it. Ended up with a 2l Peugeot 205 van. Loved it.

I’ve been putting just £2 coins in one of those money tins you can only get into with a can opener, Covid has slowed/knackered the job a bit with less cash transactions but it’s two thirds full, before that I saved £1 coins in large grolsh bottle, that held £400, and that bought Jed the border terrier, from 13 to 15 l worked Saturdays in the village shop for £15 a day, I saved up for a Yamaha DT50 mx,white with a red seat, G reg, i loved that bike and the freedom it gave me

The price those little 2 strokes are now is mind blowing!
