How much would you apply N,P,K,S and when for two cuts going into a pit? Central Scotland. Thanks.
Someone's keen...
Like mine, but little often keeps its high, and it dosent cost much. One thing I notice on farms is 'oh we've always used 20.10.10 on our silage ground'
Soil tests have been done and P&K indices are through the roof!
That being the case just use AN + S.One thing I notice on farms is 'oh we've always used 20.10.10 on our silage ground'

I didnt say they were through the roof, they are were they are meant to be seems silly to save peanuts using nitrogen for a few year to then have to go and spend alot to raise pk levels again when i can just use 20 10 10 and keep them good all the time.Keeping P&K levels at through the roof levels, isn't recommended as it is detrimental to soil performance.
Keeping levels at optimum makes more sense for soil health.

You won't correct anything in one season if it's really low.
It's taken years to deplete so could take several to correct.
