Use Oven Pride.
Or Elbow Grease spray.
I did use Oven pride, 2 times on the worst bits. It does get the stuff off but seems only to do a layer at a time.
When finished as much as I could get off I switched them both on to hot and that did clean up a bit more as well as getting rid of the toxic fumes. Wife did come home with a bar of chocolate for my reward:D

Insurance companies.

Before buying another car to replace the one that I assume has been written off I thought I'd tell the insurance company what I was thinking of buying. New to me car is 11 insurance groups lower than what I was driving but they want £225 for change of vehicle.
When I questioned this they said that it was due to the increased value, but my premium has never gone down when I've reduced the value of my car and they've told me in the past that value doesn't affect premiums.
Next excuse for the charge was that apparently you're more likely to have an accident in an unfamiliar vehicle and they've actually been giving me discount for years because I owned my last car for so long.
They're just full of :poop:
Loyalty counts for nothing, changing is easy these days

It's true though. 10 mins with the mixer waggon along the feed barrier and that's 200 ewes fed a balanced diet in the shed. Rather than trying to get a round bale across a waterlogged field to a ring feeder surrounded by liquid slurry and mud. It's a no brainer.
What if i dont have the shed space or the resources to build and concrete,.. does this mean that i shouldnt keep sheep?

Not at all. It's the number of sheep and the tenderness of the turf that causes the problem. We could carry 400 ewes over the summer, but it's the winter poaching that has become a problem. If we could keep them off the grass from mid Dec to end Feb we could up our numbers and work much more efficiently. We are mixed with 4 year grass leys on some heavy land. Everybody's situation is different. Don't read anything into my opinions. They won't apply to many other situations but our own. I am not even the shepherd but i get drawn in at lambing time.

After doing 200K miles plus my Td5 Defender engine has decided to keep filling the sump up with diesel. I've changed the injector seals and washers twice in a month but not cured it which points to either a cracked or porous head. Off on Saturday to pick up another complete engine with far fewer miles on it, out of a newer motor and for a fraction of the cost of a rebuilt head let alone a new one from Turner Engineering. So engine swop on the cards this coming week!

Insurance update...

Same broker but this time head office, £160 for change of vehicle but still couldn't give a decent explanation for the increase.
They just make it up as they go along, even if they are cheapest next year they aren't getting my business.

Had the same a couple of years ago. I went for the turner head option. Didn't want my 'new' complete engine to leak in the future.
The diesel had washed the inside of the engine really clean though!(y)
