F****** scum who think its ok to take other peoples things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daughter and housemates came back from a New Years drink to find they had been burgled. Took laptops, ipads, jewellery, the keys to 3 cars and took 2 of them (daughters and her boyfriends). Amazingly Police came straight away, and SOCO are out later, doubt they'll catch them or get their stuff back. Bloody annoying as all of them work bloody hard for what they've got.

Now need to find 2 cars pretty fast so they can get to work GRRRRRRRRRRR
That's a bloody mean kick in the teeth for them. There are some absolute barstewards in this country.

We left our daughter and son in law's a bit before midnight last night (they've just had a new baby and were too knackered to see the new year in!) and couldn't believe how empty all the streets and roads were.
It crossed my mind that any house that was empty was pretty certain to be empty until after midnight at the earliest - pretty much an open invitation to the criminal fraternity

I hope your kids are well insured and 2019 is better for them than the way it's started.

Unfortunately not fully insured, being just finished students in rented accommodation, so no contents insurance only car insurance.

Was a professional job though, tipped the entire house upside down, took laptops, Ipads, xmas presents, unopened booze, even chocolates:scratchhead::scratchhead::mad::mad:

The cars are insured, but being young the excess is large. The police came quick as they are in a very good area with very little of this, he said he couldn't remember the last time they came to one in that area. Locksmith has changed the locks but says what they have is very inadequate so they'll be getting on to the landlords. May stand a chance on the boyfriends car as his insurance has a black box on it, but theyr'e closed until tomorrow so can't get hold of them:mad::mad:

No one heard anything, and no other houses have been touched, so think they were targeted, as they got a Uber into town, bit of a coincidence:scratchhead::scratchhead:

This last paragraph is a very important point. When the taxi driver asks details of your planned evening out, always drop in that there are folks staying in your house.

Not just drivers, anybody really. You’re out and a parcel delivery muppet rings you for permission to drop it. Always tell them it’s strange because (anybody) is definitely in somewhere, but just leave it and you’ll be back very soon.

It grinds my gears that we have to think like that, but it’s getting to be more so.

Words cannot describe such “low life”.
Completely useless individuals to society. Annoys me intensely that their is so much 21st technology, yet hardly any of it is deterring or enabling thieves( scum of the earth) to be caught in the act of thieving or being tracked down.
Even as an old timer I ask why all electronic devices cannot be fitted with a GPS micro chip so that the items can be tracked , or at least something along those lines.

The cold tap in the bathroom sink, it’s the WRONG thread, and the sink is flat and not very deep, meaning that when you go to turn the tap OFF it runs flat out and a tidal wave of fresh cold water soaks your crotch.

Can you change the handle of the tap to a lever, they make a bit more sense then.

We noticed something strange at our gateway tonight, looked back through cctv and this morning a flash black convertible Range Rover pulls up to our gate, he tries to climb it, gives up and removes the unlocked padlock and opens the gate, enters, shuts the gate behind him and has a good look round for 5 minutes, especially the machines then leaves.
It almost looks like he nearly got in the forklift

Could this be a potential machinery scout for theives?

That doesn't sound very good. I don't suppose you're cctv got his number? Mind you that's not a lot of use nowadays - it turns out the reg number of a dodgy Transit that's doing the rounds around here belongs to a BMW in London

No unfortunately it’s not good enough to focus to get a number plate, what’s bugs me is he has 100k of car and sneaking round machines like he owns the place. What’s else could he be doing!

A convertible range rover!?

Looking around in broad daylight?

Doesn't sound like stereotypical thief.

Perhaps he was looking for you to do some fencing?
He must be desperate for fencing, tries to climb a 6ft spiked security gate, removes the unlocked padlock and let’s himself in!
Nobody has any business past our gates!
