what grinds your gears

Charity workers standing in middle of roads at traffic lights or roundabouts, all it does is cause congestion.
Better ways to give to good causes.
Ticks me off even more that I see the same man in every town. Getting paid to do it

“Battle of the Supereaters” on c4.

Just saw 5mins of this tosh. WTF is wrong with people?

Grown adults who are “professional eaters” gorging themselves to the point of making themselves sick whilst morons cheer them on. Now it’s a 1hr tv programme with the pros going into in depth discussion on strategy and game plans. The voice over actually described a bit as “the Battle of Britain “.

I wonder what Douglas Bader and “Cats-eyes” Cunningham would’ve made of this epic battle compared to what they went thru.

Making vat digital.

In Quickbooks, if you adjust the vat on the return manually you end up with a deficit on your bank account ( not reconciled), then if you have an exception because you have changed something in a previous month and you look at the vat payable account and compare with next months VAT return it will blow your mind. Its correct, but it takes a bit of understanding for a peasant like me.

It used to be easier. You just submitted what was owed and if you needed to correct a bit from a previous month you just added it to the claim. Now it takes more time just keeping the system right.

Oh well.

Driving for half an hour round an area I don't know, with the fuel gauge showing zero, trying to find a petrol station, because all the ones Google is showing are just hand car washes now. Then wincing at the price of the fuel.

Then driving two hundred yards further up the road, and finding a little Independent garage selling the diesel 5p a litre cheaper.

Hambleton fecking planning department, first they refuse my application under APN for a shed because they no longer class the farm house next door as agricultural:banghead::banghead: so despite the fact that my neighbour has 2000 pigs 30 feet from his house, I have to have full planning for replacing a cattle shed 200 meters away.

Resubmit on 21st of may for full planning, cheque was cashed on 28th of may, but as of today (17th June) they still not processed the application, what a shower of lazy stokers.

Websites that insist you remove Adblocker before you can read more than the first few lines of text. I have two reasons for using Adblocker, if I want to buy something I will look for it, if not I have absolutely no interest in time shares in Spain, hanging baskets, double glazing etc. The other reason is that our broadband struggles to download text only and adverts with graphics mean the thing is still downloading by the time I have finished reading it.
