Had a letter this morning demanding PAYE monies owed.

Double checked, had been paid on time and in full.

So phone call to check, after 10 minutes of saying what the issue was, Various numbers, address, post code etc etc.
Finally get through to ring tone to be told they are aware of an issue with duplicate letter being sent out in error.
Why not say that at the beginning of the message not after 10 bloody minutes!!!

Grrrr!

Battery terminal clamp nuts.
Size 10, 12, 13 and something a bit bigger than 13 but less than 14 or 9/16. Pocket full of spanner’s needed to move a battery from combine to sprayer.

And if you want to really fry your brain, try and understand British Association sizing..

“They are unusual in that they were probably the most "scientific" design of screw, starting with 0BA at 6.0 mm diameter and 1.0 mm pitch and progressing in a geometric sequence where each larger number was 0.9 times the pitch of the last size. They then rounded to 2 significant figures in metric and then converting to inches and rounding to the thousandth of an inch.“

Ordered some decals from New Zealand for a machine I have refurbished, 75$nz but there are quite a few and come rolled up in a tube. That's ok I thought but 58 $ for postage! Waited a couple of weeks but no sign of them so emailed the company to see if there was a tracking number. bloody things have been sitting with Parcel force in Exeter since Sept 4th waiting for a payment for customs. Nobody had ever notified me that they were there or that there was money due. Bigger shock £29 to pay on goods that cost £37.50. How can they justify that and how can I do anything about it?

It’s outrageous. Parasites taking it off peoples hard work. I order stuff from the States. Sometimes it gets through alright, sometimes they hold it to ransom or the postman wants a bung for C and E.

Son had a begging letter from HMRC reminding him about the 31st January 2021 deadline and it would be appreciated being paid early ......

Local council have decided to give themselves an extra days paid holiday this year because they’ve all done so well during the pandemic.

Feckin wombles.

Theyve either been on furlough for the last 6months or busy sat at home replying to emails by saying they’re unable to reply due to COVID.

Apart from the bin men, they were busy, the bin men can have an extra day off

It’s a woman! She’s mad, I’m working for someone else but she suddenly needs hers doing “today” expecting me to come and do it ASAP and my customer pay for it then she will pay him back while being insulted that I do a crap job!

Was all set to go Longtown for Mule ewe lambs this morning. Phone went at 5.10am, it's the police.
"We believe there are 2 dogs chasing your sheep"
"where?!"
"On the main road heading for the M6 J16"
Bare in mind these are lambs out on winter keep 30 miles from home. Rang brother, shot off down there. Find 300 lambs on the bypass banking being held there by bobbies. The dogs have done one. Ask for help too put lambs back the mile and a half too where they belong. I might as well have asked them too strip. They are more interested in telling me I shouldn't let my sheep get on the road. Eventually talk one into going down the road, stopping the traffic while we drive the lambs back. Fence is totally knotted up and buggered so start taking that apart to re erect it. No point even thinking about Longtown by this point.
I ring farmer and tell him what's. even going on. Police car pulls up and bobby comes too tell me that I will be billed for the police time holding the sheep there until my arrival. I'm not in a good mood already by this point. Just as I'm about too flare these 2 dogs appear in the field again running my lambs round. I ring farmer, he comes. Shoots both dogs. Police man watches it all. I go towards him to vent my frustration and point out it's not my bloody fault dogs chased my lambs through 3 strand electric and onto main road. He must have seen the thunder in my face, he jumped in his car and did one. Not a happy sheep farmer today!!!!! 😒

Hopefully you can get the dog chips scanned? If nothing else, the owners deserve to know, and be billed for your losses.

Muley your a better man than me!

At the very suggestion about a bill I would have let rip, dogs or no dogs. I probably would have been frogmarched to the back of the car and no good to anyone.

As I was reading it such is life now I was bracing myself to learn that after watching the crazed dogs being shot the farmer got a fine!

We've had a bit of a day from hell here too, but nothing worse than having a phone call saying stock is out on the road. Keep your chin up!

Any ideas where the dogs were from? What type of dog?
