Dishwashers!!

After writing a post on a different thread this morning I decided to wash the dishes and fill the dishwasher so my wife didn't have to when she got home from work. What a mistake!

It says silence plus on the front of the effin thing but I didn't think it was this quiet!

I've got more lights flashing than the control room at the chernobyl power plant! I've slammed the door, that seems to have done the trick and I can hear water running through as I write this. Either that or I've cracked the pipe at the back!

On a similar theme PRINTERS ,, no need to say anything more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facing traffic is so much safer, because you can take action to get out of the way should a driver fail to see you. Right hand bends on some roads do warrant a cross over to the left - there are drivers who are dangerous enough to miscalculate bends that are left hand to them - but there isn't a reason, otherwise.
Around here they do seem to face the traffic, but there seems to be a growing number of them, that think they have the right of way and make no attempt to move out of the way, you can slow down and in some cases almost stop, unable to move around them due to lack of visibility (bends) or oncoming traffic. The continue jogging towards you, one even gesturing that I should be giving him space but it was on a blind bend, I'm not sure what the legal position is with this as surely, technically they are on the wrong side of the road.
(often wearing ear bud things so not sure if they hear other traffic behind them)

The VAT return. Every month we pay VAT then claim it back. Wouldnt it save a lot of work to not charge VAT to those who are VAT registered.
I could be outside drying corn now instead of completing this monthly bollox. Must be millions of hours of lost productivity across the country down to Edward Heath.
They talk of efficiency. They haven't a clue.

Pedestrians do have right of way - as do domesticated animals - and should be given space, but walker or joggers should be on the right hand side of the road and facing traffic where there is no pavement

In rule 2, negotiating a right hand bend is specifically mentioned.

Maybe "right of way" was the wrong phrase, should have said "do they have priority" i.e can the keep on jogging as normal while I come to a stop, or should they make an effort to move/stop themselves

It's been a while since I passed my test, but yes, pedestrians have more right to be on a road than vehicles, and it's for the driver of a vehicle to drive with due care and attention to other road users (we drivers are meant to be in full control of those lumps of metal after all).

I didn't pass first time, so had to cycle and walk hundreds of miles not remotely for leisure until I did. It's only relatively recently that drivers have become such bullies on the road. Makes me wonder if knowledge of the Highway Code is tested properly, tbh.

VAT is an EEC tax, bought in to comply with EEC rules and fund membership.

Ask Boris why it's not being scrapped as part of the UK leaving the EU.

don't you think all road users should be considerate if I am halfway down a road with hedgebanks on either side and the road is the same width as the machine what am I supposed to reverse 200 meters?to let a byke past because he has right of way

I have been known to get out, ask the driver to shift over, and reverse their car into the pull-in they have just passed, rather than me reverse around a blind bend and up a steep hill for quarter of a mile. They always seemed grateful.

I reversed yesterday at the top of a steep hill and narrow road to let a group of cyclists go past. I could admire the lycra at my leisure and see how the neighbours sheep were doing.... one rough one (the sheep not the lycra!).

They were in a couple of groups, and I think the huff they gave me was a thanks, but they were all a bit puffed out.

Never ever lend machinery ,,this is how it comes back ,how it didnt get hot and fire it is a miracle
Ah the underside of a Manipoo. I spend more time underneath mine than inside the cab driving it. If you'd posted a picture of the inside of the cab, would never have guessed what machine it was. :ROFLMAO:

Had a neighbour years ago who used to just switch off the engine and wait if he thought the other road user should give way!
My record is 14 minutes this year! I have an old sun newspaper behind the seat for just the job.

My tractor is the same width as the lanes and the trailer has a job to go around the corners going forward let alone backwards, yet people seem to think that I'm related to David Copperfield!

I'm more like Tommy Cooper!

Started maize silage today, 1 tractor puncture, 1 tractor oil leak(back wheel needs to come off!) Finally all 6 tractors and trailers going and a lorry has overturned on the roundabout ok so cart on to next junction to turnaround but it's shut due to roadworks ok so carry on to next roundabout car crash on roundabout!!!! Ffs it's added 12 extra miles to the journey plus the traffic queues are horrendous as everywhere is gridlocked!!!😡😡😡😡😡

The god of mobile phone calls. That unseen force that works upon people’s decisions as to when to phone you. What a bellend.

he’s the force that i blame for the following inconveniences:

phone ringing the instant you turn out the farm rd end onto the main road

No phone calls for an hr, then as soon as you get 1 there is immediately another one on hold beeping in your ear

when you call back the 2nd caller from the above scenario, they don’t answer.......they call back just as you turn out onto main road.

The old man pocket dialling 12 times in 8 minutes, so frequently that it’s impossible to call him back to tell him to turn his feckin phone off coz he’s phoning again... Just ignore it? ........ but he’s 72 with a fairly healthy disregard for his own safety, I’d better answer this time......Hello?........hello!.........HELLO!!!........OH FOR FECKS SAKE TURN YOUR PHONE OFF!!!!.......HELLO!!!!!!.......TURN THE PHONE OFF!!!!..........🤬🤬🤬🤬

Couldn’t care less about the “art” being nicked,

Art? Where? Is that it on the right?

yes, that’s it there, the big orange thing that looks like a giant turd.

no wonder it got lifted, what an eyesore. Artist apparently put a lot of work in and reckons £2-3k to replace it 🤣🤣🤣

Different feckin world to where I live, I tell you.
