Metric 12' rails
3.6 metre actually!
The barstewards
We have made some errors fencing, set off post and rail and grab a rail from the yard as a measuring rail, knocking posts in and the pack of rails turn up, 3 rails on and suddenly they are missing the post!
Feck!
My measuring rail is a true 12ft, the pack of rails are 3.6 metre. Most suppliers supply both!

Went to replace the sprayer alternator belt. Thought it would be a nice Friday afternoon job finished by teatime. But no, the skid unit will have to come off to get the panel off behind the cab then work my way in from there.
There hasn’t been a job for a long while that didn’t mushroom into a couple of days lathered in oil and grease, require a special tool or some exotic sealant. Design for maintenance died out in 1970.
