74cl bottles of drinks. A fortnight ago, I bought a sparkling soft drink in a 750ml bottle which went down well in the hot weather. It wasn't available where I shopped, today, so I bought an equivalent that's regionally produced. Thought something felt odd about it when it was on the shelf (forgot m'specs), and only saw what it was when I read the label at home. It's 740ml. Shrinkflation strikes the soft drinks sector!

Two lots of cows in this morning to vaccinate the calves and swap bulls about. First lot went like clockwork. Second lot, not so much

Going back out, lost the bull over the fence on one side of the road and a belligerent cow over the fence on the other

Bull's back in custody and I'm soaked because I had no coat as I wasn't expecting to have to get out the tractor.

Having something to eat just now, and calm down a bit, before going after the cow...

Remotely read electricity meters.
Every month an 11 page invoice then an 11 page credit note cancelling it then another 11 page invoice for £1.30, completely wrong. So do I spend time sorting it out or leave it till it’s clocked up thousands?
I agreed to have 4 smart meters on my farm, they agreed as long as I agreed to pay their monthly bills.

Great for cash flow, except they sometimes go up to 7 months on each meter, had a bill the other day for £10K for one of them.

Phone call with Indian accent claiming to be from Experian checking my credit rating for a supplier. Told them to tell the supplier, whoever that is, to ring me themselves if they want to know my credit worthiness.
Could be scam for all I know so put the phone down. But even if it wasn’t, how many of these intermediary parasites do we have to put up with nowadays? Won’t cooperate with them. My business is none of their business.

Said it before but what is it with old farmers and telehandlers? Moth to a light.

Saturday morning, half 6, full day of jobs ahead and he’s been in at half 5 and f**ked off with it. Not answering phone, no previous discussion.

I’m now left trying t shift half a tree off an endrig to get going, with a bloody industrial forklift. 😡
