what grinds your gears

I was thinking about this the other day I wonder what effect mobile phones (especially smart phones) and the smoking ban (everybody now takes a "smoking break" and stands outside for 5/10 mins) has had on productivity of employees
When I left school and started work there were no mobiles and you had to have a real good reason (emergency) to use the works phone
Going back a few years just after the smoking ban came in someone l know with a small business and a few employees was approached by his secretary and asked if she could have a day off. Apparently she had timed the smokers and it amounted to a lost day of work, but I can't remember how long it took to get there.

Swathes of imported LHD, ordinary bread-and-butter classic cars.

Why do we, in a right hand drive country, need a load of LHD Escort Sports and Cortina 1600 GTs? There are plenty of examples around with the steering wheel on the correct side. Especially considering they want the same money for them. THE STEERING WHEEL IS ON THE WRONG f**kING SIDE, YOU IDIOTS.

Ewe had 3 lambs at same time as ewe had a single. Great patch on opportunity. Ewe with single seemed to be accepting one of the triplets as her own after rubbing the juices all over it etc. Went for some tea, only 20 minutes, came back to find patched on lamb had drowned itself in 5 inches of water in bucket. Must have taken some doing. Well done.:banghead:

Gimmer had 3 lambs, rejected 2. Not having those, no way. Then squashed the one it liked.

Yet some manage perfectly.

At least the one the size of a barrage balloon with the prolapse has lambed without incident ....yet. Looks like somebody deflated her and she is a lot happier fussing over her nice pair of lambs.

'Hi. I'm looking for a pair of 16.9R38 tractor tyres over 50% in very good condition. I'm prepared to pay up to £50 cash. Can you help?'

I get these every day!

Incidentally, if anyone does have some 16.9R38s over 50% in excellent condition for up to £50, I'll take them. All of them!
While you're looking could you keep an eye out for a nice Autoquad JD6930 under £500 for me too

I used to have a 1966 mk1 Cortina GT export model in the early 70`s, ermine white with aubergine flash, with the extra wide 4 1/2 inch wheels, It was a left hooker so had heavier suspension, tin sump guard and super chrome work.Cost me a massive £2.50p to convert to right hand drive,ie, a s/h steering box,got the steering idler off my bruvs scrap Corsair.Happy days. Sprayed it aubergine with a rose taup flash and put 6 1/2``widened steels on it with massive 185/70x13s. Things were simple in the `good old days`.
