Laptop hard-drive failed today [emoji853]
I had the same happen with the desktop at work and no, I had not backed up the files. Five years worth of files and records lost. Two years later I have been able to replace a few of `them but the rest are gone forever. Everything is now backed up another computer at work and on my "one drive" cloud storage account.
I feel for you if you had important stuff on the computer.

I am a farmer. Most of you are too so you will understand I hope.
My place is up for sale, I am very proud of my farm and I am happy to chops all day to anyone that is genuinely interested. I am not even slightly interested in local people asking the estate agent for a viewing just so they can have a nose around inside my house (which I am rather less proud of)
The last one wanted to come on bank holiday afternoon, I told them to feck off and they'd have to go to Rhyll the same as every other fecker.

I have another viewing booked in for Monday and I think I am going to call in sick. :(

Tell 'em they have to walk the whole farm with you first before they get to see inside the house, that should put a few nosey gits off.

you have my sympathy I've been there and done that, i was proud of my farm and the house we had gone to the trouble of replacing the windows with bespoke windows the same as the old ones so when one woman started to be a critic "oh aren't the ceilings low and those dreadful windows they will have to go and replaced with picture windows" that was enough for me ,i let the wife show them the house seling up is a very stressful time the last thing you need is time wasters and nosey parkers

The RPA mapping update project :mad::mad::mad::mad:

so far.....

They have split 0.01Ha from one of our fields as a new field :confused::scratchhead::poop::mad:

They have added a fenced off track and neighbours garden to another field (n):poop::mad:

I can now see much wasted time correcting their incompetent "corrections" yet again :mad:

Any comments @RPA ?

They've given us a neighbours compost heap which is in the middle of his garden!

they do this to create work for themselves to justify their jobs, we had similar this year, then when it came to fill the form they had not updated their data:confused:,last year they forgot to put all the rented land on the form each time meant a visit to them to sort it out

Like they haven't got enough to do sorting out all the cockups there already is! Still haven't got my young farmer payment for the last two years. Mind they have finally removed 50 acres of another neighbours land that was on our and everyone else in the parishes' maps

We've had mapping updates every year of BPS, every year I ring up and tell them to fix it all. They just seem to hit accept to every change without even looking at them. Last year they remove all my PIF features which was really helpful.
