Big article in the local rag about a cafe/restaurant that has improved it's green credentials by stopping using plates. They now use a certain type of vegetable leaf that after use can be composted down, so no environmentally damaging washing up (presume they've never heard of rainwater harvesting). Anyway, so far, so good. But where do these wonderful leaves come from? India FFS! Save a bit of washing up, fly the crockery half way round the world instead!

I give up!

Brilliant!

There’s a shop near us that sells food stuff in bulk, paper bags can be bought if you don’t have your own container, it’s sort of a whole food/organic place. Wife uses it a bit. One of her friends is having a review of lifestyle after watching blue planet so she now drives a 60 mile round trip for the pleasure of using this facility. Errrrr........

@AgriLinc

I don't want a catalogue.

I've never bought anything from you.

I sent it back last time with 'I do not want this catalogue - remove me from your lists' written on it.

Do you really think that sending out 150 shiny pages is going to persuade me to buy from you when I've already told you I don't want it?
Evening, apologies this was missed, if you can PM me your name and postcode I will get you removed first thing tomorrow.

I like your brochures! It means that you can often price up a workshop job without having to feel awkward making phone calls for prices.
Thanks @bovrill we try and ensure they're useful and relevant for all sizes/types of farms and are glad you're one of the 35,000 UK farmers that do find it useful.
If there's anyone on TFF that doesn't currently receive it and would like to then just PM me your details and I'd be happy to add you on! (y)

Why were wasps invented, no use to anybody and all ways where you want to work.
After firing and drowning them on Friday, I was hoping they would have cleared off this morning,, er er,, fecking things were back this morning so hoping pest control guy can nail them tommorow,, hate them

Last week I was quoted £100 to get rid of a small wasps nest 2 inches off the ground by the front door. The lady was doubtful they could do it and I would have to pay £65 for the privilege of them driving 1.5 miles away to say no. So me being tighter than a tight thing went out there with my shop vac what could possibly go wrong? I had full PPE shorts and flip flops  I learnt 2 valuable lessons that day 1 don’t try and take a nest out that was bigger beyond the brick than I could see. And 2 scroll down when googling pest control bloke below them turned up within 30 minutes and charged me £50 (y)

Afternoon @Nearly
Unfortunately I've currently no idea who you are just from your profile name, so if you can let me have your name and postcode either by PM or give me a call in the office I can get you removed as requested.

nearly you know that tyre dealer from upppp north :ROFLMAO:

We had a wasps nest a year or two back , about the size of a small football , that was hanging from a tree twig just in the lane . No2 son is violently allergic to wasp stings , and carries an "epipen " so it had to go . I purchased an aerosol from our local garden centre to do the job . Absolutely 100 % effective . With a range of about 20 metres , and no necessity for absolute accuracy . Just stand in the lane and point it at the nest and squirt all over the nest . Apparently they pick up the insecticide on their feet and carry it into the nest , queen gets it , job done . In 24 hrs. not a sign of a wasp , and none since . Anybody interested in the name I'll look it up from the can under the sink , and let you know .

I tryed some Rentokil spray stuff ,couldn't see the nest as its underground ,it came out as a foam ,,it was useless ,the pest guy sticks a long probe into the nest and whatever it is ,they are dead in 12hrs
