What has Red Bones.

Dog keeps finding these in the garden, assume it's either a Sparrowhawk or a cat that's leaving them behind, but what's from?

Looks like a sheep / lamb / calf femur to me. Too big for a sparrowhawk or a cat.
Uncooked.
Anyone feeding red kites raw stuff near you? Or eagles? Or hunt kennels / knackery not secured?

Wherever they're coming from, it's not good.

It's only 70mm long, that's what makes me think it's from a bird.

Nearest hunt kennels at least a mile away, no knackery, No Kites or Eagles I know of.

And of course the dog can find them a sight faster than I can, scared of getting something sharp down her throat.

read somewhere that a dog is ok to eat bones, so long as they are uncooked . Something to do with their digestive system and enzymes that makes them fine with raw bones

Not seen any, although having just checked photos on my phone, there were fox tracks 1st Feb. But that doesn't tell me what the bones are from though.
