I will ask the vet but I thought someone here might know more quickly.

Got 2 tups with the same thing.. I drained them and filled them with blue spray not had chance catch them again see if they’ve come back… very thick puss in them when I drained them I assumed they’d been rolling round in a bush and got a
Thorn or 3 stuck in them

I’ve got a tup covered in these, I think they bother me more than him, I just put blue spray on them and click extra as normal, worried they are the perfect things to get maggots?!

So far thanks for the replies.

I should have put in more info;

definitely not shearing damage, Easycare ewes don't have that.

No other bumps on the body anywhere.

Not a vac bump - we never vac at that end of a sheep.

Do sheep get warbles?

Are there any warbles in Essex?
I heard a warble fly around 15-16 years ago on a seriously hot day! Mine have mainly got them where you’re are and no possible injection could have happened there and all homebred so can’t say they were bought in with previous owner causing it

Mine are homebred too, no new sheep for years

I had some pus filled lumps on a tup before, I suspected it was from catching under a strand of barbed wire that was high enough to miss the ewes? Got rid of the wire and cleaned out the puss, bit of cyclo spray seemed to clear the abscesses?

I know it doesn’t help but I’ve seen a few sheep covered in these over the years . That looks like a quite think skinned sheep but I have seen similar lumps that the surface is almost jelly like and just shearing over it causes it to bleed
