Did one in cheffins few yrs back not make nearly £20k. Slightly older I no.
Tractor in question has been owned from new, two came on lorry same day, one to my uncle and one to my dad, 1 digit diff on no plate.
The log book has one owner from new and the name Channer in it.
I would have no intention of selling it and want it for my boys..
I just sold 2 houses and a flat and fully intend to invest good chunk in old classic tractors.
Very tempted at the 8630 dual power that East Yorkshire machinery have for sale at £11k.
Parris had same in 8730 and wanted over £20k for it??

Is'nt East Yorkshire Machinery related to 'Q'uick 'F'inance tractors in yorkshire?

Yes, according to an earlier thread.Thats why I was asking about the gearbox, from the photo of the ford 8630 it appears to have blue gear levers poking up through the floor.Maybe box came from an earlier TW?.Anyhow from what I here I wouldn't buy anything from there no matter how good it looked.

How would a 2wd a-reg column change 6610 immaculate, barn stored 3500 hours be valued? Currently has a loader on but could remove. No rust rot etc. Found in a customers barn.

Hmmmm.... to an exporter £3k.If you can find someone who wants it for their classic collection £8-10k.Remember only 7 years between last of the 7000's in 1975(sort after classic) and the 6610.Could be worth leaving it in the barn for a few more years.........

You don't see many of those early 6610s with the original bubble cab. V good paintwork. I was going to guess at 5.5k.

If I was a collector I'd rather pay more for a rust free example, sorting out a rust problem on Q and super Q cabs could cost a fortune.Better to pay £8k for a good one than pay £4k for a heap of sh*t and another £4k to dismantle cab, shot blast it,patch up holes and repaint it.I think it should be worth more than 5.5k to the right person, can't be many about with only 3500 hrs on the clock either.
