What is this plant? Is it dangerous for cattle/goats

A lot of this has started growing around edges of a field that I keep weaned calves in normally, what is it and is there any risk to the cattle if I put them in? Thanks

Had it round a few silage fields. We border the National park and they sent contractors for two years with strimmer to clear it. This year I was fed up of the fields getting smaller due the mower not cleaning to the edge, so the forestry flail went in!

Glyphosate kills to the root tips apparently. I spray the yard 3 times a year and they keep coming back.
The best chemical I find for most weeds that are not grass is Grazon.

I have had good success with kyleo on it.

As you say, for anything from established root mass and with a proper root system grazon will normally have a very good try at it.

Try some diesel round yard, allegedly

You know what livestock are like- they'll eat anything different, poisonous or not.

Possibly hairy willowherb. A bit early to tell, (individual flowers rather than spires of rosebay willowherb. )

I would advise against eating spoil from ditches, but each to his own.
