WHAT LADDERS&ACCESS EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

Hi everyone,

I am currently conducting some Market Research for a Ladders & Access Equipment company. We are looking to launch new products into the Agricultural industry and also start supplying to Agricultural distributors around the UK?

Since those mostly looking on this forum are the end users, if you have any feedback to provide then I would most certainly appreciate it. We want to invest massively and the Agricultural industry is one we are really interested in.

Questions to think about:

Do you often use ladders in your day to day work?
If so, which ladders do you most commonly use?
If not, is there a reason why? (Do you use other machinery, are ladders too expensive, not needed etc?)

Where do you buy your ladders and access equipment from currently?
Please provide reasons why? (Good quality, good value, good customer service, brand loyalty)

Would you buy:
4,6,8 tread aluminum stepladders (either in platform or swing back)
High handrail 2,3 tread step ladders
2 or 3 section extension ladders
A tower

What products do you currently buy which have not been listed?
e.g Tripod ladder...

The most important question is:

Can you think of a product that you would like a company to launch in the UK, either one that is already developed, or one that our product development team can look into? Is there anything that the industry is lacking which would help you massively with your work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Rachel

Good mate of mine died recently when the potato box came off the tines on a telehandler, he fell out of the potato box and hit the floor, box followed him down just to make sure he was dead.
Not come to court yet but the farmer is quite old, I expect he will spend the rest of his days in jail.
Both of them should have known better.

i'll raise you old pallet tied on with twine
Had some builders here doing some work a few years back and came round the corner to find the boss about 20 foot up repairing a downpipe on an existing shed they’d managed to damage standing on a half rotten pallet they’d found lying around minus the bale string to hold it on.
The really stupid thing is their man cage was less than 40 foot away and probably as close if not closer than the pallet they’d found.

I did ask them why, ................using very different words

In the interests of H&S no-one is ever allowed to let their feet leave the ground on this farm. If anyone so much as jumps slightly in the air they get escorted off the premises, its just too dangerous. In fact crawling on your stomach just to reduce the risk of falling over is recommended. After all your head can up to 6 feet above the ground when walking upright, thats far too dangerous a height to be working at without a safety harness. I'm considering introducing a foam body suit that all visitors and contractors must wear at all times while on the premises, OK they might get a little bit overheated in the summer and die from heatstroke, but can you put a price on safety?????
