Legs whole,, halved or cut into leg steaks (great on bbq)
Shoulder whole or halved
Chops as chops in packs of 4
Breast minced or boned/rolled
Neck sliced or minced
That’s the options we give those who buy lambs from us.

60s and 70s you couldn't give breasts away, dad would bring a great bundle in to the house, I'm sure there was more left than when you started.

Better breeding as of course improved the quality of both the breast and neck.

Don't cut the shoulder in half. The joint with the leg attached is too small to feed one person let alone two. whole it makes a lovely joint.

Back legs are boring so best cut for chops, which are more a modern family meal rather than the traditional Sunday roast.

Rolled breast or just roasted flat is the best bit so don't mince.

Yeah love them really, Jack easing himself into the driving seat (y) .
That’s very good to hear, John and Denise deserve to slow down, they have worked bloody hard for a very long time. I seem to remember they started just before foot and mouth but I might be wrong. John needs to buy a fishing lake in France and retire but not sure Denise is that keen on my chosen country 😂. If you see them and remember please say hi from me.
