My hand has been forced to look for another tractor. My tractor had a mishap with a fire. Now the insurance has come good I've been on the look out. Came across a Renault ares 566 rz. I know that it's a Claas in old colours but don't know much more about them with reliability and things to look out for. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

My neighbour has what I assume would be model up from that-a 577 in claas colours. It's been a fine machine and pretty reliable. It's clocked more than 10000 hours now as a main tractor on a hilly stockfarm and makes an excellent loader tractor. Well capable on the 10ft mower/conditioner, 4 furrow plough, transport work with a 25ft bale trailer etc. It did have to get split at around 8000hrs as the shuttle pack gave up but apart from that its behaved well, now into its 11th year and I suspect it will work here until its owners retirement in a few years.
