I am on a tour of England and Wales next week delivering and collecting Tups.
I am looking for somewhere to stay between Telford and Aberystwyth on Tuesday night and have some time on Wednesday morning to see the local trade if there is a market on.

Accommodation would need possibly for two people and not too far from a decent place for a meal. Possibly Newtown area?

Try the Nags head Garthmyl about halfway between Welshpool and Newtown for a meal,
but not sure if they do accommodation.

Yes Machynlleth is on a Wednesday. It's a small market but worth a visit for sure. A bit of Welsh culture thrown in too.
The Red Lion in Dinas Mawddwy I'd highly recommend as one of the best pubs in Wales. Good bunch of locals with top notch home cooked food with plenty of it for us farmer types who like a good plateful of locally produced food.
