I seem to be the only one but I get on well with KWS basset and might keep it going longer yet. We grow a lot of group 3 wheat and the new varieties just don't look a sensible choice.
There are also some very good varieties not on the RL which has now become a very wild guide... some varieties change disease scores so quickly!

I grew Basset until last year and got on really well with it, same with Kerrin.

I’m very tempted to go back to them.

I like Costello, but no owbm resistance has made me move on.
Ordered a bit of Astronomer to try, it's not a KWS variety, so may last 3 seasons perhaps:rolleyes:...

Saki has Cougar parentage and is looking like that in a lot of places.
saki looks well here clean as a whistle compared to gleam which unless harvest yield is better than it looks atm will reduce , for what its worth saki seems to have taken the effects of the wet winter (saturation, ponding etc)better than anything in terms of recovery ),.

I’ve taken on a farm that grow a blend of kerrin crispin and gleam. It had .8 ascra at t1 and a litre of revy at t2 and seems really dirty
