7341 where I work has been absolutely hammered, as the main loader tractor for years, door missing, wings broken, roof leaks, front brakes don't work, leaks oil from both ends, had fuel filter bypassed at one point and hasn't held water for at least a couple years and yet, out of all the tractors I have driven over the years, on a freezing cold day, this is the one I would expect to start out of any of them
Yes. 7341 has ur1 style engine which has single cylinder heads. The 7441 has completely different engine with only 1 cylinder head and it seems is harder to start. And also has a shuttle

Wise. I think you should embrace powershift/power shuttle…you’ll wonder how you managed without it once you have it. They’re really not the work of the devil and shouldn’t give any bother (in the JD). In your budget and unless you’re wanting something older than 2000 you’re going to struggle to find a completely manual anything…

Extra comfort driving them but less comfort lying underneath it when it gives up😂

9540 might be on the cards🤔
We had a 9540 on demo once; I’m sure it had a bosch electric lift?? Or was it a 10540 🤔. It cooked its alternator and battery within 30 hours 😂. Stunk the shed out for days. Just shows even the simplest of things can go wrong

Case cx80 landsman eco any good? Manual shuttle I think. The tractor don't seem to have a switch on the gearstick so am I right in saying it hasn't powershift?

New smaller tractor really aren't out of reach if your looking to spend a bit, I have just looked at a case Farmall 75A 4 wheel drive, its pretty basic but for £28k 0% over 5 year and 5 year warranty I though that it looks a good buy for someone who doesn't have much work to do, do think you would loose a lot on over the next 10 years. I went for a farmall 100C that is a fair bit more money but better spec and needed something to pull a 28 foot trailer.

Would go up to 20 thousand if The tractor hadn't powershift or powershuttle and wasn't too old. Like I wouldn't be paying 25 grand for a 390😂. Not looking for anything full of electrics or too fancy. Basic tractor max 95hp
You get a fresh Zetor Proxima for €20k, with a loader. Manual shuttle. Gear shift on the right. There‘s not much that goes wrong with them.

Ah well. They're gone dear. And also the father don't like "plasticy" tractors. he I'd say will end up getting a 7745 r something in that line

Ha i was reading this theread through and was about to sugest a 7745 turbo, my uncle ran one along side a 7245 and a 6245. Plus a couple of old crystals.
They were good tractors. The 7745 was duelled up with a 3m maschio on. And eventually ended up with a massive riko front loader on it.
Now im sure it had some sort of manual forward reverse shuttle between your legs.
Stick with what u know you should get a very tidy one for your budget.
