What Size Grain Drier?

Looking to install a new grain drier.
Ideally want it inside a shed with wet storage.

Cropping is wheat, spring barley and some winter barley.
Total cropping area is 1000 acres.

Run a Claas 750.

What capacity drier do you think would suit this acreage and output of combine?

Some automation would be nice to future proof it.

Thanks

Always thought a decent used 30t Opico/Mecmar fed by a underfloor auger would be a good setup. As long as it could discharge as much as it can dry overnight I would think that running 24/7 would dry 250-300t every 24 hours.

Were just putting in a 24t automated Mecmar with underground trench loading conveyor and overhead conveyors into an existing and new store. New store will have a wet grain partition. This is to serve a similar set up/combine to yours. We were advised that the next size of Mecmars up need a lot more electricity to drive. There was a 28t advertised on here a couple of days ago by McArthurs for £70k. That might not be an issue for you but we have a high base load already.

I was once given some good advice that it is futile to try and match driers to combine output, as the latter will always win. Just try and minimise the number of times of handling and have plenty of space for tipping wet.
