What size wind turbine before planning gets difficult?

Interested in a small wind turbine anything from 2kw up to 10kw.
I'd imagine for 2kw a 4m rotor with max height 11m. Would this cause planning or aircraft radar difficulties? I wouldn't have thought so but do we still have to go through the full process.
At what total height to blade tips or power rating does planning become difficult/expensive or radar interference become a problem? Is there an exemption for the need for a NATS survey below a certain height?

I am not in an AONB or other special area nor do I live within a mile of anybody. Closest radar is about 8 miles away and it's a big one but there would be ground behind its line of sight to an 11 m high turbine.

Thanks,

The LPA usually want every report going .
I remember the radar one years ago and so much distance etc .from airports - until I spotted them on net on roof of John Lenon Airport Liverpool next to the radar so sent that to them to "chew " on ???
Tree's and Electric poles are taller than some too ?

I think the government changed planning policy guidelines about 2 years ago where local authoritys could easily refuse new turbine applications. Very few have been approved since.

I thought there was an upper limit of 12.2 m. planning was required above that, I think it included the swept area but vertical axis gets around this.

Thanks for that link. I was intending a hobby/project so I think it would fall within the limits.

I'd hope to install and service it myself. Mainly for the purpose or recharging batteries. It's not going to generate much at 2.2m diameter.
You be suprised.
In good location you could get 100-200 kwhrs over a 24hr period on that size rotors.
