Aww come on guys, please stop moaning!

For the past month or so I've been green with envy watching the weather and seeing everyone's temperatures south of the grampians ranging from 16 degrees up to the mid 20's

Here in Aberdeenshire it has struggled to be above 13 degrees since last summer.
And no improvement in sight. My forecast isn't showing any sign of a heat wave.

I'd live without a heat wave, just give me some seasonal temperatures!!!

Feck the heatwave i just dont want any rain!

I have a feeling that we may be wishing for more rain in a month or so time !

Not all of us :)

A month of 25 deg would be about right, almost had to take my shorts off today but even in the pouring rain I had em on, principle of the matter it's summer for goodness sake :)

More like January out there at the moment gale force winds, driving rain, stuff blowing round the garden.

Just 2mm last night, not a puddle in sight. Wind evaporated more rainfall than fell.
Flag leaves still rolled,
Drier heare than 2011, when brash yielded 1.5t/ac

11mm yesterday and last night. June rainfall is usually critical to yield but I hope there's a little more to come later. Priority now is getting some sunshine from somewhere.

In June 1975 I had builders working on my house with their shirts off. The next day there was three inches of snow and the Cock Bridge to Tomintoul road (B9009?) was blocked.

There is snow up there today. The difference is it was warmer in May 1975 than it has been recently. Been cold, cold, cold here -- apart from a few days weeks ago.

On the other hand, I recall first cut of silage one year in South Devon on the 14th February. S22 Italian rye grass. Can't remember the year but it was about 50 years ago.

Then, in the late 1970's I think, we got 26 inches of snow on level ground over winter near Tomintoul and it stayed for weeks.

Should be bit on reporting Scotland on tonight, I think at half 6, from Orkney about problems farmers are facing there.
Most cows are still in there and the Mart is holding extra store sales to ease the pressure. @jamesy

It has been said before but amazing how varied this countries weather is. Another torrential 2mm overnight, sun out now and blowing a gale. Just looked at some wheat and flag is curling already. Looking forward to some hot temps at end of week...not. I do sympathise with those suffering the other end of the spectrum, particularly with stock.
