Please can we have the old app back! The new one has all the crap I don't like on the website. It's just dreadful, difficult to navigate, useless fluff everywhere, slow, bloody adverts, clutter and busy beyond belief.

I've just looked at a thread I am following and on the old app the content would have started on the first inch of my screen. Now I have to scroll a *FULL PAGE!!!* before I can see what the new post it. A full page of useless twaddle! Buttons I have no use for, adverts for stuff I'm not interested in, information about times posted and the list of junk goes on.

Have you actually employed someone who has the first clue about how do design an app!

there is no new app and we don't have a app

we didn't even build the old one or have any control over it, it was provided by tapatalk who from your post above I assume have made some changes recently

We are planning to build ou own TFF app though, probably next year if funds allow, you may have to pay for it though, especially if you don't want to see any adverts. Rest assured if we do build an app we will employ someone VERY good to do it

I’m still running on the old app and although glitchy is still much better than the browser version

you can no longer download it but it still works if you have it, we have no control over it however if there are problems etc

browser view works great for the vast majority of tff users especially on newer smart phones but some will always prefer a app so when we can afford to we will build a replacement

Panic averted, I'd mistakenly pressed the "web view" button.

Please don't ever stop paying Tapatalk, I can't bear the thought of having to use that abortion of a website.

We don't pay tapatalk - we just allow them a feed from our database,

if we ever do our own app that will end

Thanks for the compliment re our FREE site ............... 99.9% of our 30,000 plus daily visitors that view 150million pages a year seem to cope with the abortion somehow, VERY few still use the tapatalk app

I have had a brand new phone for about 6 months I haven't used yet as the old phone still has the app and I hated reading the forum via the browser . Probably just what we get used to

It's just personal preference, but the VAST majority of TFF users are via browser and were even when the app was widely available

I always hated the Tapatalk app - found it very awkward to use and lacking so many features that are available via browser

we will do our own app when affordable, but continuing to pay to provide the tapatalk app via the Apple app store and google play was not viable when we had no control or ability to support users with problems using it

I’d give the browser another chance if I could get rid of the white background. I hate dark writing on white screens. Much prefer it the opposite way around and saves phone battery to [emoji23]

Useful feedback, thanks - we could look at creating a users selectable "dark" skin possibly

I’m pretty sure you can download the app on your new phone if it’s apple... go too the App Store “purchases” then it’ll list every app youv ever had... find TFF and download it ... it’s very glitchy but you learn too live with the glitches

Lack of "features" is the best thing about the app.

Old phones dead so guess that's me forced to use the browser.

Anyone know how to get it to jump to most recent unread posts as seems to always start at page 1 with the op
