What to charge

I loaded an artic wagon up with my jcb for a non farming friend…it took me an hour roughly with 20 mins travelling there and back so 1 hour 20 mins in total
It sounds like it might be a regular occurrence so he wants an invoice
What do I charge?
No suggestions of cash please as he wants it done legit

I was thinking £60 but I wouldn’t have a clue really as never done it before

Don't try to minimise the cost to him, it would be more than £60 to get it done any other way, and you've got too remember it will be a PIA sometimes to fit it in

£75 (Does that even cover 10 minutes with your accountant? Who only has a pencil which costs less to run)

What about insurance ?
Standard farm insurance wouldn't cover it.

If its steady away going and clean work . £65 . plus vat

scuffing tyres and racing is another matter £ 75 or so i should think.

I don’t make small bales of hay…I’m not daft plus he wouldn’t last 5 minutes carrying them

Greasing tele handler, putting bucket on/off, wear and tear on machine / tyres, insurance , faff didling about with diesel, fisticuffs with other road users, having to miss an episode of Bargain Hunt.....

Cattle dealer/contractor nearby wants £90 to load wagon and drag

somewhere between £60 and £100 remember you are making your loadall a bit older and a new one is getting close to £100 k and you bust a pipe and its £100 gone

Call it 60 and stick in a different account. It's surprising how these little jobs add up and soon you've got your holiday paid for.

If mate possibly £60-£80 .
If on another farm possibly ok but what if not a farm, industrial site, HMRC dip you or accident happens?
What would that cost plus what would HE or A plant etc charge to hire and deliver,collect etc etc plus driver???
