What to feed in calf heifers?

I've got some heifers due to calve from mid March that I'll likely be bringing in next week looking at the forecast.

They are angus, hereford and blue cross Holstein / friesian and will be calving at 2 - 2 1/2 years old.

They haven't seen cake since the spring but haven't been short of grass since.

Just dryish silage for the winter for me, later on if I had the space to keep them separate and knew all my heifers would calve in a short period I would feed them a bit of all purpose cake for the last month or so to try and boost the colostrum quantity and quality. Wouldn't want to give them too much though. Fine line between more milk and calving problems due to size.

Thank you. I don't have any cows so these can be fed as required. All bar 2 are due to calve within 3 weeks give or take.
