That's true.
Our kids enter each year. Last year a young lad was told he should have been wearing a tie.

Surely the child has no control over that, you could have a great wee handler who through no fault of his own would be overlooked on skill because the parents didn't turn them out properly. That doesn't sit right with me. I knew a lad at the pony club, he used to borrow a pony from an old boy. He was a genius, self taught and obviously penalised because he wasn't wearing the "correct " gear. That same lad went on to be a world Champion.
