Hello,

I am searching around for help to identify my dads tractor that I need parts for, but I have no clue what it is, beside the sticker on the side thats been painted over.

I have attached 1 picture, and link the rest from my Google photos page.

hopefully someone recognizes it :) or something close.

it has 2 issues right now, The Shift rod was welded on from a previous owner and its broken, and the steering stopped working at the first snow fall. so I am trying to make it "work"

any insight or help would be MOST appreciated!!!

also not sure where to look for a Vin/serial number plate, if it has one :)

I am looking for a service manual as well if I can find one :)

Hi there,

I think that you have a Fiat based tractor, a Canadian friend had a Fiat of that Vintage/ shape that was sold through the White tractor organisation.

If you look at the instrument dials, eg temp or fuel gauge on the dashboard they often had FIAT written inside the dial. That will tell you that it started life as a Fiat design. (could also be a Hesston, a Universal or a couple others that I cant think of)

Open the bonnet and you might find the serial no/VIN plate on the underside of the bonnet. Otherwise you will have to quite literally crawl over it to find any id plates.

Do you know who helped your dad keep it going? a local mechanic, or suppliers that you could talk to, is Dad about to talk to?

Hope this helps.

thanks, I have been looking at 651-4 and I would say its the closest to what I think its.

However, my dad has been saying its a Fiat. but and you dont see it in the pictures, beside the Canadian flag sticker, someone painted the cover white, but the stickers underneeth say Renault, but only just barelly since its the stick that isnt turning to dust, and its a little raised.

near as I can tell from talking to my dad, he bought it as a Fiat 60, but I dont believe him as the guy who sold it too him was a "stealership" and well lets just say there has been issues with truthfullness.

so my next question, assuming I needed a Shifter, what are my ods on finding something? I am sure I cant just call Renault :)

is there a dealer / junker that has stuff?

I would kill for a owner / Service manual!

thanks all forr the insight, its going to be an interesting fix!
