What type/make of gloves do you use in workshop/ on machinery?

As above . When working on machinery, greasing it and when connecting hydraulic hoses and connecting cursed fiddly PTO shafts to tractors.
I like my Portwest A350 gloves but want a version that is impermeable to diesel and oil.
Suggestions please . I don’t like the very thin nitrile gloves which I find get hot and sticky inside and rip easily.

i normally got a pair of red pvc gauntlets in the cab that can slip on n off easy
Thanks for that. I really want something a bit thinner so one catch hold of smaller objects and hold grease gun connector on to difficult to get to grease nipples , that said I usually get so frustrated and say ballocks to the glove’s ;)
But that then makes me wonder if the effectiveness of hand wipes varies!!!!!

I don't find pipes or grease gun a problem with them

there's usually some nitrile glove knocking about if needs must

A pair of these in every vehicle for connecting spools, PTOs, straps etc as they're really easy to slip on and off.

And a box of these in the workshop for fiddly stuff, greasing up etc.

Pair of these in each tractor and forklift, surprisingly warm for being so thin, rubberised palms/fingers so slightly waterproof, wipe clean and can be chucked in the washing machine a few times 7D3D2211-4996-4D80-80E4-6EBEDA7D8225.jpeg

something similar to this, you can get packs off ebay very cheaply much cheaper than any local place, as above i put them through washer a few times before there toast

also buy boxes of 1000's latex gloves for oil changes and lambing etc,

having no gloves ruins your hands so fast.

Need the real deal for grease. Disposable type cloves catch and tear on virtually anything.

The ones with the cotton lining are surprisingly warm and comfortable in use. Cheap enough to have a pair in each machine if needed.

But you can't feel much in them.. Box of chuckaway under a normal pair of gloves or Mexhanix gloves worked just fine

I love those mechanix gloves but they don't last well in my experience- thinner leather for dexterity as you say makes them good but they don't have the abrasion or wear resistance. The Strauss gloves above you can wipe clean with blue paper.

I've a pair of Endura for the garden but again these are touch on the thick side for assembly work if you can call it that.

I guess the answer is to find a glove that is leather and thin enough to give the precision folk need but also the impact and cut resistance you ought to have in a work environment. There are some gloves by Ironclad and Milwaukee on Amazon but I don't really do anything besides fiddle with my chainsaw or lawn mower these days and I keep a box of disposables in the garage for that.

I use the rubber and material ones posted above. Done for greasing. What was the last machine you greased? As said. Get a decent gun and a good nozzle and you won’t get much mess
